Stir Fried Tofu With Vegetables

Stir Fried Tofu with Vegetables
A warm welcome from Taste of Saras Kitchen to all out there. How's things guys? It's being quite sometime since I stepped into my blogging world as my life  is like a roller coaster. Too much of work and a great deal of stress to overcome. Anyway let's forget about myself and head back to my kitchen to see wht's happening during my absence. I have not being cooking any interesting dishes these day. I guess it's time to dust off some of my drafts that's being laying around idle in my pc for quite sometime. Today I'm proudly going to share one of my favourite household recipe.. A healthy and tummy filling dish that will vanished the second it hits the serving table. Trust me guys!!!

Ingredients:
Serving Size: About 4-6 persons

3 medium size tofu cut into cubes mixed with little salt
1 cup of canola oil frying
1 cup cooked chicken shredded

Sesame Flour Mixture
For a light and crunchy batter, mix the following ingredients together in a bowl:
5 tbsp. sesame seeds
4 tbsp. cornstarch
4 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1tbsp pepper powder
optional: 1/4 tsp. white sugar (this helps eliminate any bitterness)

For the sauce:
1/4 cup lime juice
3 tbsp hoisin sauce
approx. 2 tbsp fresh ginger
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
approx 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tsp honey

For the stir-fry:
1 small carrot sliced thinly
1/2 cup chopped cauliflower
1/2 cup chopped broccoli
1 red or yellow bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1/3 chop chopped mushrooms
1 small onion chopped
4tbsp minced garlic
2tbsp grated cheese

Preparation Methods:
Roll the tofu cubes in the bowl containing the flour/sesame mixture until well covered.Pour 1/2 to 1 cup canola or other high-heat oil into a wok or small frying pan and fry-tofu. When tofu is a light golden brown on all sides, remove from the oil and place on a paper towel or absorbent cloth to drain and cool.Keep aside.In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, hoisin sauce, ginger, red pepper, cilantro and honey until combined and set aside. In a large skillet, heat few spoons of oil and sauté the onions and garlic, stirring frequently. Then add all the vegetables and the sauce-stirring to combine. Stir-fry another 3-5 minute and finally add the fried tofu and chicken. Sauté for a minute or 2 and transfer to serving platter sprinkle the grated cheese and serve
