Wheat Upma IddliesIngredients:1 cup wheat rava
2tbsp ghee
1tsp fennal seeds
1tbsp chanan daal
few curry leaves
1tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 dried chillies
2 shallots chopped finely
1 cup curd mixed with 1/2 cup warm water
a pinch of hing powder
salt to taste
1 cup thosai batter
For the stuffing: Optional1/4 cup chopped shallots
1/4tsp mustard seeds
1/4tsp cumin seeds
1/2tsp chili powder
salt to taste
Preparation Methods:
Heat the ghee in a wok and fry the wheat rava until fragrant making sure that u don't burnt them-keep aside. In same wok add 2tsp oil and roast all the remaining ingredients expect the curd. Once they they have cooled transfer them to a blender with the roasted wheat rave and curd. Grind to a smooth paste. Add warm water if the mixture is thick. Mix the paste with the dosai batter -grease the plates and pour the batter and steam. If you like to add the stuffing- heat 2tsp oil in wok, once heat add mustard and cumin. As the splutter add the chopped shallots,salt and chili powder. Saute until the onions are translucent. Add a spoonful of the stuffing into the grease plate and then pour the batter. Steam and serve hot with your choice of chutneys and gravies.

We could add 2tbsp of coconut powder to stuffing too..It will give a sweet taste to the iddlies.
