I looked out of my window with half open eyes - still wondering whether to climb out of bed or tug back into my comfort blanket. The sky was black and the large clouds were moving towards me. I heard a tapping on the window and then it became a pitter-patter. The clouds spat out their beads of water as people ran for cover outside and umbrellas were open. Puddles began pinking as the rainfall became heavier. What a perfect climate to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed filter coffee🤔🤔🤔

Filter coffee have became my morning obsession. I need a glass of filter coffee at any cost to kick start my day .All this obsession is only because I got use to the aroma of filter coffee and it will happen to everyone who loves coffee.

Coffee is one drink that is prepared in so many different ways in different countries. There are the cold coffee drinks and the hot coffee drinks. I’m sure we all must have tasted a few different coffees is coffee shops. For any South Indian, more than anything, a cup of ‘filter coffee’ will be the top choice anytime and tis taste have captured my soul completely.

South Indian filter coffee is a coffee drink made by mixing frothed and boiled milk with the decoction obtained by brewing finely ground coffee powder in a traditional Indian filter. South Indian filter coffee is a strong, milky coffee decoction that’s made with a stainless steel coffee filter, and served in a traditional dabarah and tumbler. 

Joy of making and having a sip of home made filter coffee from fresh decoction can never be replaced buy any ready made coffee. Let’s sit back and relax with a freshly brewed filter coffee from my kitchen to yours guys!!! A perfect cup for the rainy season here..


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Cup water
  • 2 Cups milk
  • 3 Tbsp coffee powder
  • 1- 2 Tsp sugar
Preparation Methods:
Into a sauce pan add a cup of water and bring it to boil. Add 3 tablespoons of coffee powder into the filter and press it firmly and place the stand inside. Slowly pour the hot water into the filter. Close the lid and let the water pass though the filter .Once the decoction is collected at the bottom container, you can make filter coffee. Add 2 cups of milk into a sauce pan and bring it to boil. Add ¾ measure of milk into a tumbler and add the desired amount of sugar and decoction mix it well until nice froth is formed. Enjoy the filter coffee
